We take the risks, so your unit doesn't...
In 1987 this agency was founded as Investigative Services of Colorado and the core services were individual locates, backgrounds and assets & liabilities. Dean quickly became one of the most successful and sought after skip tracers in the country. From that experience and reputation were developed presentations and training seminars from 2000 and his first book, "Professional Locate Investigations" in 2006. In 2012 Dean and Karen revised and updated this book, "Professional Investigations: Individual Locates, Backgrounds and Assets & Liabilities", available as an eBook at www.ProfessionalLocateInvestigations.com.
Since returning to the private sector, AFI-LLC has been a specialized consultation and investigation agency. We do comprehensive civil and criminal investigations, but we have not forgotten our roots and the need for single-parents to have the child support necessary to raise their children, but are not receiving. We understand that most often their only resource is their local Child Support Enforcement Unit. Moreover, we know that these cases can be difficult to crack - and these efforts are exasperated by large caseloads and minimal financial and investigative resources, and proper skills and training. Sometimes it is simply too onerous. Our history includes having been uniquely involved, and assisting in developing, a comprehensive methodology that combines the personnel and resources of the Child Support Enforcement Unit with our own. It was proven successful and we feel can prove successful again. In this continued fledgling economy, these single-parents need the help and expertise our agency, in partnership with Child Support Enforcement Units, has a long proven history of.
Investigators at AFI-LLC are subject matter experts in this field - we are also Colorado Licensed Private Investigators (insurance is in-process):
- Verify all PI licenses at https://www.colorado.gov/dora/licensing/Lookup/LicenseLookup.aspx (scroll to 'Private Investigators' and enter 'Beers' for last name)
- Karen S. Beers - verify PI license #PI-502 and Dean A. Beers - verify PI license #PI-503
You know our agency. You know our reputation. You know our experience.
Just in case, who is AFI-LLC and what do we bring to your Child Support Enforcement Unit?
- Education, training and experience. We literally have the expertise, and have proven success of 92% historically. With child support cases in a tough economy, we have seen that reduced to the mid-to-high 80s percentile. Still a much greater success than other private agencies and internal Child Support Enforcement Units.
- Cost-effective with proven results equals a high Return on Investigation (ROI). Based on our experience, specifically with Child Support Enforcement Units, we have developed a cost-effective strategy that will:
- Increase your positive residential addresses and/or employment;
- Increase the effected service of process;
- Increase respondent hearing attendance;
- Increase positive determination of paternity; and
- Your Return on Investigation will improve your internal budget.
You process claims and cases. We Find People...We Find Out About Them!
Its simple math. The more effective your Child Support Enforcement Unit is in increasing your positive residential addresses and/or employment, the more effective service of process is, which increases respondent hearing attendance and increases positive determination of paternity. You must have all of these in order to effectively collect child support for your agency and clients. We have a proven track record in these areas and look forward to proving it to you. We know you have resources our agency does not, more important - we have resources and expertise most Child Support Enforcement Units do not -- these should be combined to develop an effective teamwork strategy.
What is the most effective strategy?
It's the answer to simple math. Every case is important - every child needs the support owed them. But, not every case warrants the efforts that we can assist with. There are specific cases that require specific attention, efforts and methodology. Those are the cases we can cost-effectively assist with. These are the minimum criteria that we recommend assigning cases to our agency:
- Arrears have accumulated on one or more children for greater than 18 months;
- Arrears have accumulated an aggregate of $3,000 or more; and
- Recent internal Child Support Enforcement Unit attempts to locate and/or serve have been within 18 months.
What is this going to cost the Child Support Enforcement Unit?
In the past (through 2003) we provided this service to Child Support Enforcement Units for $200 if found and $100 if not found, all time and expenses included. In nearly 10 years there have been some changes - more advanced techniques, and of course cost of doing business. Our commitments and successes to this important public service have not. We understand that perhaps the department budgets of Child Support Enforcement Units have not changed due to the economy. This effort is too important to the future of our children, we know that. We are offering a unique program, to Child Support Enforcement Units only:
Our proven record in child support cases reduces the risk we take and your overall costs.
If we were to offer a similar program to the legal community for debt collection purposes, the program would be $500 found and $175 not found.
- Found $300
- Not Found - No Fee (no time or expenses)
