At the annual NCISS awards and banquet September 08th, officers and directors were sworn in. Dean joined other newly elected officers, being sworn in as the Secretary.
In addition to the Duffy Award, a new award was announced. The Vinson Award is in honor of John Vinson, one of the founders of NCISS. The recipient is a Regional Director, chosen by the Executive Council, who exemplifies the goals Mr. Vinson had for NCISS, work in their region and for NCISS. Receiving the award is an honor. Being the first recipient was almost a speechless moment.
